Calm & Connected Carer
Regulate your calm. Reconnect with yourself. Reclaim your joy
What if you could feel calm, connected, and confident again — even in the midst of uncertainty?

Caring for a neurodivergent child can be one of life’s greatest gifts… and also one of its most challenging experiences.

You give everything — time, energy, patience, love — you get no acknowledgment and still go to bed wondering if you did enough!

And somewhere along the way, you’ve forgotten what it feels like to breathe deeply, rest easily, or simply be your authentic self again.

I understand — because I’ve been there too.
Hi, I’m Samantha Wittenberg, a life coach, speaker, storyteller, nature lover and mum to a young autistic woman.
My journey began with a dramatic turning point when my teenage child became suddenly aggressive and frighteningly possessive of me.
Bewildered and heartbroken, I embarked on a profound quest to understand Autism and my child’s unique needs.
I know what it’s like to live in a constant state of alertness, trying to manage your child’s emotions while ignoring your own.
I remember the loneliness, the guilt, and the exhaustion that came from caring without enough care for me.
I’ve learned that caregiving is a marathon, not a sprint — and that mindset and a willingness to look beyond the obvious difficulties to a deeper purpose, are essential to the journey.
That’s why I created the Connected Carers Course — to help you find your centre again, without guilt, overwhelm, or another item on your to-do list.

Testimonial from Naomi, Clinical Psychologist

"The sessions were well structured, focused, and efficient - really getting to the heart of things.
The values work helped bring clarity to what matters to me most.
I felt genuinely supported, listened to, and understood—something that hasn’t always been my experience when it comes to parenting challenges.
I think the lived experience behind the support made all the difference with feeling understood.
The embodied, grounding “safe place” activity was led so skillfully! Afterwards, I noticed some resistance to moving, yet I was then able to approach shopping with more presence.
It felt deeply nourishing and almost luxurious to relax properly into my body with that level of support. When I feel nourished, I parent so much better, and since Sam's support I've experienced more joy with my child, as well as greater patience in difficult moments.
I’m now feeling hopeful that, while parenting is challenging, there will be more moments of delight.
There has been a sense of loneliness around the unique challenges of raising a child with special needs—especially when nervous systems need different things at different times, which can be exhausting—but the tools offered really landed due to being thoughtful and informed by lots of experience.
I’m already telling my friends about this support, there is so much value in what Sam provides.”

“The workshop helped me to find a compassionate inner voice towards myself. Samantha is a great listener and she manages the time between participants very well. I was feeling included all the time.” Workshop participant

Why this matters now

Without support, even the strongest, most devoted carer burns out.
Chronic stress doesn’t just drain your energy — it impacts your health, your relationships, and your ability to connect meaningfully with the person you care for. Over time, resentment, fatigue, and self-doubt take over.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can restore balance, feel grounded, and show up from a place of peace — not pressure. When you’re calm, your loved one feels safer too. That’s the power of co-regulation.
-
Move from constant overwhelm to feeling calmer, more present, and better able to cope day to day
-
Feel more emotionally steady and less reactive during challenging moments
-
Understand yourself and your child more clearly, reducing guilt, frustration, and self-blame
-
Experience greater ease and cooperation in your key relationships
-
Reconnect with who you are beyond the caring role, strengthening your sense of self
-
Feel more hopeful, confident, and resourced to face what lies ahead
-
Use practical regulation tools to restore balance when stress rises
-
Turn your experiences into a meaningful story that brings clarity and purpose
-
Share in a supportive community, creating connection and belonging
